Organised by the Hardy Plant Society Monmouthshire Group, this new Plant Fair features about 14 specialist nurseries and growers, including Chelsea Gold Medal winners. They will be presenting and selling a wide selection of plants, with lots of highly desirable and unusual varieties of offer. It’s also the first spring opening of Highfields Farm Garden.

The growers come from across Wales, The Midlands and the West Country. Stands include: Cotswold Garden Flowers, Mill Cottage Plants, Elworthy Cottage Plants, Walled Garden Treberfydd Plant Nursery, Pheasant Acre Plants, Farmyard Nurseries, Carrob Growers, Strete Gate Camellias, Suzanne & Philip George, Triffids Nursery, Suzanne Curran & David Owen, HPS Monmouthshire.
More information about the garden can be found here:

Entrance to the Plant Fair and Open Garden is £3 HPS Members and £5 Non-Members. Refreshments available all day.

The plant fair is being held in the grounds and garden of Highfields Farm, Star Road, Goytre NP4 0AA with the kind permission of Jenny and Roger Lloyd. The farm is situated just outside the village of Goytre (sometimes called Penperlleni). You can find Star Road either by:
– turning off the A4042 at the Goytre Arms in Penperlleni/Goytre (that’s a left turn if you’re coming from the Abergavenny direction, right if from Pontypool) and following the road west out of the village
– turning east off the B4598 at Chainbridge, a few miles north of Usk (immediately left after the bridge if coming from the Usk direction, right if from Raglan) and then turning left at the cross-roads.
Either way you’ll then see HPS Plant Fair signs which will lead you to the farm where there is ample parking.
